Pc Gain for Companies

Solution

Per specific delivered system, somewhere between negative 5%, and plus 20%. (Or plus 100% for some boutique frou frou labels)

Some companies like Dell can afford to sell some systems at an actual loss, because they have other income streams.

Please elucidate on this.
why?

Give me "X" i5-8400. and Give me price.
Give me "X" Cheap motherboard and give me price.

They make enough, besides, everything they get is in bulk deals. Most of the stuff is based on cheaper is better for them.

No one can clearly answer your question

The only people who are positioned to provide a definitive answer are executives at said companies. As noted, large OEMs buy components in bulk and pay less per part than a builder, and they also get Windows licenses in bulk. Then there's a split in the difference between the bill of materials including a Windows license and the sale cost: that difference gets divided somehow between the store and the OEM PC maker. Then, the question of how much the OEM revenues become profit is determined by their internal costs: labor, infrastructure, and others.
