So I bought this new PC about a month ago for an insanely cheap price so I kinda expected it have problems, but it actually runs pretty decent. It boots good and quick and it can play low end games. But I feel like the PC is only running at half of its potential and recently I’ve been running into some problems with this new game, Apex Legends. The game will often freeze up or crash, causing me a lot of rage quits lol. I’ve also noticed that when I have Firefox open at the same time as a game, the mouse will stutter and lag across the screen. I recently bought windows 10 and did a fresh install along with all of my drivers and I’m still having problems. My PC did stop hard-locking though after upgrading from windows 7 to windows 10 (meaning the only possible thing I could do to fix it was press my power button on my pc, task manager wouldn’t even work.) I found out my CPU was overheating so I bought a better cooling system but still, the lag problem and game freezing persists. I also notice that when I enable turbo core in Bios, my processor speed will constantly cycle between 3.3ghz to 3.6ghz and not go any less or any higher or even in between. I noticed the voltage was also doing this when I looked at my AMD overdrive settings. Now I really just want to get to the core of the problem. I’m hoping it’s something easily replaceable like a new GPU or PSU and no damaged parts. Any insight on how I could diagnose my hardware?
