Hey, I am fairly new to this and am wanting to get into PC gaming. I have come up with a build and am not sure if I have got value for money and how well it will work with current/future games. I am still a bit confused with overclocking and how to do it, I know this build is set up for it as I would like to do it in the future.
I am from Australia and all these prices come MSY. My budget is $1500.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K processor - $309
CPU cooler: Corsair H80i CPU cooler – $37
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H motherboard - $229
Graphics card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 - $330
RAM: 8 gb corsair vengeance DDR3 memory - $89
SSD: 120GB Samsung 840 series SSD - $109
Hard drive: 1TB Western Digital caviar black hard drive - $92
PSU: 750W corsair TX750M power supply - $148
Optical drive: SATA blu-ray combo LG - $54

Total:1,481

Thanks, all help appreciated

Where do you stay.....Is the i5 4670k so expensive in your country....In the US it can be found as low as 230$..

yer the prices are ridiculous in Australia compared to the US especially with CPUs and GPUs. I think MSY has the best prices in Australia anyway. Also I live about 20 minutes away from a MSY store

so get like a i5-3570K instead of the 4670K? and get the GTX 770? got any recommendations on any other CPUs? and would the 3K series fit into that motherboard?

Why don't you consider getting a fx 6300....It has great bang for the buck....How much is it priced in you country??

fx-6300 is $130 from the store I am buying from, but wouldn't the i5-4670K be much better? especially as I want to use my computer for university as well?

I would get the fx 6300 ....it has great bang for the buck....Costs almost half and performs similarly in games.....and put the saved money on a better videocard,,,
