iam playing the pc games at 1080p ultra settings on my 24 inch full hd monitor.recently i got a all in one vr headset with hdmi input.so i can play games on that vr headset.so i connect both the monitor and vr headset on the 2 hdmi ports on graphics cards.my question is that can i change the hdmi input only to my vr headset after starting the game?
why iam asking this question means while using vr headset with pc while gaming the graphics card running two displays(the monitor and vr headset)at the same time. so the fps is divided between monitor and vr headset.i get 66 fps on gta 5 with ultra setting.if i use vr headset i get 30 fps on my vr headset .
i want full fps to my vr headset while playing the games.so i can enjoy the gameplay.
does any one have any ideas?

Hello Sir,

It would be useful if you could tell us which VR system you use and if it is official or some third party software you use here.

Depends on the setup, disabling your main monitor display may or may not improve the VR display performance.

For example SteamVR would use mirroring of one of the eyes, the screen is already rendered, you only get extra display = you would get no significant performance boost disabling that.

For all Unity-based games, hold ALT when starting it to show a popup where you can change the mirror window to be smaller/windowed. Doing this will speed up your game apparently.

Not sure if any of the above applies to your setup.
