Pc Gaming On Tv Controller Suggestions

Hi All,
I just bought myself a new tv which i would like to try out as a pc monitor, Keeping the pc next to the tv isn't going to be a long term option so i have a long hdmi cable running from my pc in the basement to my tv in the living room above. The only problem obviously is what to us as a controller. I have a few wireless 360 controllers as well as a ps4 dualshock that i know you can get working wireless with a pc, but do you think the range will be wide enough to go up 1 floor? A wireless mouse and keyboard is another option but again i think range might be an issue. Anybody have any other ideas that might work?

A PS4 controller's range may be long enough, but the problems would be whats inside your walls that may block the signal.

Since you already have the controllers you can give it a try, just fire up Steam Big Picture mode and you should be good to go.
