it is a stupid question and i don't know if i should post it here but i am new to pc gaming and i need help so let's say i bought a serial code for watch dogs activated from uplay the ubisoft store and another person bought it from steam we still play on the same servers right ?

Sorry I misread the question. Yes that would be fine since even if you get it through steam you also play it through Uplay.

Watch Dog on Steam would also require Uplay, so I would imagine it is possible (otherwise it would be stupid beyond imagination).
