PC gets absolutely no power to mainboard!

Hey guys, let me start by saying that I have read the stickies, but I still need help.

Yesterday I redid my simracing rig by neatly managing all the cables. To do this I powered the pc down and simply unplugged a few usb cables etc. and rewired them.

After I was finished the PC didn´t start up again. I thought I accidently touched the switch on the psu, but it was on.

I checked all the cables, tried a different outlet and a different power cable. Nothing. No led lit up on the board. Nothing.

The pc is only a year old, but it runs pretty much 24/7, so I thought that disconnecting it from power somehow made the psu decide to fail.

Anyway, I bought a new one and installed it today (have build pc´s, all connectors are firmly in place) with the same result. At the moment I just tried to see if I get some LED´s on the board to light up before connecting the monitor etc. But nothing.

The pc ran just fine yesterday evening and it hardly moved. It just powered down and now it won´t get a single beep.

Is there a way to check if the mainboard itself is somehow at fault? I am really puzzled at the moment.

the mainboard is a asrock x79 extreme 6.

I am really glad for any kind of help you can give me!

Let me know what infos you need, I can provide them.

Double check and make sure you connected the power switch cable properly. I know I have done that one before. Thought I had it, but was off by one pin. Another one I have run into, make sure the outlet you are using has power. Maybe you bumped the switch on your surge protector, and not realized it. Often shutting them off and back on can reset them properly.

Thank you very much for your answer! I can confirm that the pins are set correctly, mostly because I used them as they are until about 12 hours ago, but I still checked every single connector. Everything looks like it should be. The outlet has power, I have just run a lamp through it, and I have switched cables 3 times now. There is not a single sign of power on the board.

The bad thing is that I really need this pc to run tomorrow and I guess I will buy a new mainboard now. I have no idea what else to do at this point. The weird thing is that the mainboard does not seem to get power at all. No led, nothing.

So it turns out that I can´t get a new board today anymore, so if you guys have any suggestion that would be awesome. At the moment I can only think of a problem with the mainboard. I must have bumped into the pc or something. That is the only thing I can think of.

Maybe there is some kind of miracle solution but atm, i do not really have any hope.
