Hey guys I really need some help with this. I began playing a game of csgo after signing into his account for the first time.(he had to go eat dinner with his family for Easter) a few minutes in my computer freezes and I get the thread stuck in device driver error. I reset my pc multiple times but continue to receive these messages which keep causing my computer to restart. All of the solutions I could find involved updating my drivers but I couldn't do that as my computer kept turning off. I resorted to resetting my pc but saving my files so that I wouldn't have to re download everything. Halfway through my computer black screened and I had to restart it. This happened twice. It would no longer let me reset and keep my files so I decided to just reset it. This also crashed my computer. This make my startup some sort of windows recovery. With nothing else available without wiping my computer I tried to mess around with the options. I believe I set my startup setting to windows 10(volume2) and I reset it. Now it goes to the motherboard logo and then to a black screen. I can still go to the bios but nothing there affects the black screen. Please help me. Thanks! ( I also tries to put in my windows 8.1 disk but I can't reinstall windows)

Did you press reset after changing the boot order or did you ask Win 10 to do a reset? Second involves wiping drive, I will assume it was first.

if you can, download this on another pc and make a windows 10 installl dvd or usb: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10

If you make a USB, use the USB 2 slots.

change bios to boot from whatever you made & boot the installer
After the screen asking for language choices, select repair this pc, not INSTALL
Select troubleshoot
Select advanced settings
Select start up repair - this will ask for your user name and password and may fix the bout problem

If it doesn't, boot into installer again, select same menu options as before but instead of selecting...

If it doesn't, boot into installer again, select same menu options as before but instead of selecting advanced, select System restore and take system back to a time before the weekend. that should fix it...

If that doesn't work, boot into usb again and select reset this pc in the first menu alongside Troubleshooot. Select keep my files and settings and Win 10 will reinstall itself on your pc - you will lose all programs though. Still better than a fresh install.

If none of these work, get back to us :)
