PC hard drive to laptop storage.

Is it possible to convert a 250GB PC hard drive to use as laptop external storage ie photos etc?????, what would I need to cover the hard drive??? and to connect it to the PC???.

Sorry for the idiot post, Im new to fiddling with computers, its usually old cars :lol: .
