Hello, This is my first time using this forum, and i might say its really nice, and before i start id like to clarify that English isnt my native lenguage, so it might be a little sloppy, sorry about that.

Now, with the questions, Ill enumerate them all to make it organized.

1. Im currently living in Australia, and ill be staying in here until Mid-August, As Pc parts are way cheaper here than in my Home country (Colombia), Im planning on buying some over here, but what worries me is, Will they work with the parts that I might buy in Colombia (Voltage wise, connectors, overall compatibility)?, Ex: Buying a GPU and CPU here to pair with a motherboard back home.

2. I'll be buying a GPU here for sure, But i cant make up my mind in which one, with my current budget, I might be able to afford a ASUS GeForce GTX 970 STRIX OC 4GB (or the Turbo version) or its counter part, an ASUS Radeon R9 390 OC STRIX 8GB Video Card, But i cannot decide on which.. (Pc will be mainly used for gaming)

3. What CPU - Motherboard will work good with any of those GPU mentioned before?, I cannot afford a high end CPU (say the latest i7), I just need one thats good bang for the buck, current budget for both would be around...$350 - 500

I just want to point out that i survived for around 6 years with a first generation i7, a crappy generic intel motherboard and a GT 220, and to be honest I was happy with that (until motherboard died and couldnt find any other with that CPU socket..), So overall i just want a decent PC that enables me to run some of the current games at decent quality, and other games such as WoW and LoL.

Thanks a lot guys!

As far as I know, parts don't change from country to country. As long as they're authentic, you shouldn't have any problems.

Neither card is a bad choice, but the 970 has a 145W TDP v. 250W on the 390, which might make a difference in Australian heat. Also, what resolution are you on? If it's 1080p, you might be happy with a GeForce 950 or Radeon 380. Both cards you mentioned are great choices that will last a long time, but something a bit cheaper will still get the job done.

I'm going to assume you meant USD 350-500, because the numbers match up so well. You can get an i5-6600K (~250) a solid motherboard (the Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P is great for ~100) and a solid cooler for ~30.

Hope this helped. If I fucked the currency bit, I'm...
