So about a week ago a fan failure on my old hd6870 gpu forced me to move onto a newer r7 370. Upon installation, I now have no display on any of my monitors and presumably no POST either. There's also no usb power to any of my peripherals (mouse, keyboard) nor any beeps from my speakers or mobo at startup.

Mobo's led lights are all good (blue) but it does not come with a led screen that will list error codes. It doesn't have a video out port to test without a gpu either. The cpu and case fans are working. Psu, new gpu, and hdd appear to be in working order. Old gpu was lost with warranty trade-in so can't test that....

Everything was deep cleaned before reinstallation and new thermal paste was applied to the cpu. I've got tendonitis so now I'm freaking out that I messed that up somehow, was wearing an anti static band.

Since re-reinstallation, I've moved the ram sticks to neighboring slots and cleared cmos (by button not battery removal) to no avail.

I've noticed a few other threads have similar issues as me but hopefully you guys have a miracle solution for me.

Finally, my build:
CPU: i5-2500k stock
Mobo: p67a-gd55 (b3)
PSU: Antec hcg-750
GPU: r7 370
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB 1600 MHz ddr3
HDD: Samsung 1tb
OS: Win7 64bit

I think that I'm going to have to bite the bullet and take my rig over to my local BestBuy or Frys to at least swap out test parts. No other options for me.

I'll try to pickup that case speaker later today.

In the mean time, leaving both ram sticks out, the pc turned on for about 3 seconds then immediately switched off. Leaving 1 ram stick in at a time, the pc did stay powered but still no display or any other improvement. Cpu fan worked properly in all trials.

Back to resorting to mobile internet so sorry if I'm sporadic.

It's not normal.
Try leaving only CPU and CPU fan installed, both 24 and 4 pin power cables connected. No other wires, or components.
Start the board by shortly touching with a screwdriver the 2 pins on the motherboard corresponding to the case power button. See if the CPU fan does spin without stopping.

Everything was uninstalled asides from cpu and cpu fan. Cpu fan's power 4 pin and mobo's 24 pin were left in as well. Placed a screwdriver against the case power button 2 pin but nothing occurred.

Noticed on the rear of the mobo that one of push pins to the stock cpu fan is broken but the fan/heatsink is still secure. There's also a little dried residue (clear whitish tinge) around two of the push pins on the back.

Psu is safe after performing that linked test. Finally got a case speaker but it elicits no sound at startup (confirmed it's on the right mobo pins). Tried that cpu fan test again with another flathead screwdriver but that did nothing as well other than proving that I'm apparently unelectrifying.

I'll breadboard my system and hope for the best but it looks like I'm in for at least a new mobo. Should I try flashing my bios to its latest version due to possible compatibility issues? (Probably a moot point anyway if I have no screen or usb power to read the usb drive.)

EDIT: Finished the rebuild. Good news is that my case speaker works now. With psu, cpu/fan, and one ram stick, I got 2 quick beeps, a click, and 5 Beeps. With all components, I get no beeps and still no post, display, or usb power.

With this system, those beeps mean that I apparently have processor failure so either my cpu, mobo, or both are gone.

With no ram sticks in the board, there are no beeps. System will turn on for about 4-5 seconds and then continuously reboot until psu is manually switched off.

Reseated the cpu again. Cpu and socket have blocks rather than pins but all appear in straight shape. Some blocks on the cpu have lighter and darker color tones than the rest but that's the only difference that I can tell. Also cleaned the cpu blocks and socket with 99% isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush again. No improvement.

What happens if removing the 8 pin power cable, connecting a case fan to the motherboard and starting it? Does the case fan spin without restarting?

The mobo-attached case fan, cpu fan, and psu fan will start for 1-2 seconds and then come to a synced dead stop as the system continously restarts at that point.

Sadly feared as such. Just wish I knew what I did that killed the mobo.

I'll scrounge the case, drives, gpu, and psu and start looking for deals on the rest. Thank you for walking me through the attempted recovery.
