Hello guys,
I have the following pc parts:
Ryzen 5 1600AF
MSI B450 Titanium
RX5700XT Pulse SE
2 x 8GB Trident Z RGB 3000Mhz
Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB

Running VSync in limited to my 60hz monitor as of now.
I expected games like Battlefield V and especially Warthunder, to run at 60fps all the time, completely fluid gameplay at full details. I mean 1080p 60fps is a joke to this GPU, right?
But somehow I always have little stutters throughout the gameplay. Smaller consistent ones, and some longer lag spikes with like 10-20fps. It just doesnt feel fluid as Youtube 60hz gameplay on my phone in any way! I have overclocked my ryzen to 4ghz, the ram is running at 3000mhz without xmp... Xmp limited me to 2666Mhz, why? Don't know if my ram settings are wrong... Not really an expert when it comes to ram oc, but with no oc, the ram was at 2133Mhz which was not really playable 😶
Am I doing something completely wrong here that slows my pc down?
Can someone check my bios settings with me?

Solution
You can try 3000Mhz but the memory controller in the cpu is only good for 2933mhz. I think I read on MSI faq that it will set the ram speed to 2133Mhz if it is set over 2933Mhz but I'm not 100% sure that is the case. You can experiment if you like but like I said before who will notice the difference of 67Mhz ram speed?
I turned on XMP with profile 2... Weird
How can I send you a picture of the bios settings for the memory?

Here's a picture of the bios... I'm confused why XMP only has 2800MHz and 2933MHz available... I want to run on 3000Mhz right? I changed the DRAM frequency to that and it seems to work, it's shown in CPU Z as 1500Mhz.
Do I need to work on the timings or do anything else?

When you enable AXMP it should set the memory to 2933Mhz I think although you may have to set it to 2933Mhz manually
It does, but do I want 2933Mhz, considering its 3000Mhz RAM?
I can set the clock manually to 3000Mhz, should I?
Anything else left to do?
Can I go higher than 3000Mhz?
What ram clocks is the Ryzen 5 1600af capable of?

Are the memory sticks in slot 2 and 4? Use DOCP/XMP setting, that should work. XMP handles timings automatically.

EDIT: Is that NB frequency the same thing as FCLK? IF it is, it should be 1500 mhz, half your memory speed. Right now it's like you would be using 2133 mhz ram.

I have them in their corresponding DIMM Slots, yes. All I see is NB Frequency, that's always half my clock speed.
Is 3000mhz okay?
I set it manually because XMP only supports up to 2933mhz

Solution
Also I think Battlefield V likes fast CPU's it is one of the first games that really punishes quad core CPU's and one of a handful of titles that shows a performance increase with 8 core CPU's so you may not be able to get 60 fps minimum without tweaking the settings.
