Hey guys upgrading a pc and having a bit of trouble. Just replaced the mother board and graphics card and got an ssd I am trying to insta. So my system now is http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/vbr8D3.

My pc never restarts, once I turn it off it will not turn back on untill I take the battery out of the motherboard and leave it for a few minutes. After that it boots up fine again, as long as I don't enter bios settings and save and restart then it's problems all over again. I just replaces the motherboard as I thought that was the issue. Very new at this any help word be greatly appricated. I have update my motherboard with msi auto update software.

I have not reinstalled windows as it is on my hdd currently. If I boot up with the windows installation cd with the Ssd and not my hdd. I can get part way through the windows install process but then has to restart and will not boot after that even with the battery out for a bit so I presume it is incomplete and unrecoverable. So just using the old installation on hdd atm. I believe I am not using achi but ide. I can't change it in the bios to achi as after changing it I have to restart and after restarting it just gives a black screen no sounds just the fans and the lights on my keyboard stay on (caps lock, number lock etc) and are unresponsive . When I replace the battery the settings are wiped.
However if I use the old hdd. It boots up fine for the first time and is perfectly usable. Just have to take the battery out for a bit of the motherboard if I restart.

Make sure you're in AHCI mode. I don't think SSDs can work properly in IDE mode. Should be an option having to do with SATA in your BIOS. Double check that your CD isn't scratched, and be sure your memory is seated properly. If it's trying to boot off the hard drive still, disconnect it.

Well currently ignore the SSD. To put it in AHCI mode i would have to change the bios settings, which i currently cannot do as soon as i press save and restart I'm back at the error taking out the battery of the motherboard for a bit will fix. If if leave the bios settings alone it boots. So before I begin to fix the SSD I think I need to sort out the rest of it first.
Any boot up after the first time I replace the batter in the motherboard currently fails (failing being a black screen and only the sound of fans running and the caps lock, num pad etc lights on my keyboard staying on and unresponsive.) So any changes to the BIOS are currently undone by the only fix I have to get it to boot. If I restart the pc for any reason, I have to take out the motherboard battery wait a few mins and replace it again to get it to boot up.
