Pc hdmi to tv hdmi no signal

using hdmi for pc to tv I get a no signal message on tv

using vga to vga the signal works fine

what am I not doing? what should I try?

Try a graphics adapter that supports what you are doing.

Try a graphics adapter that supports what you are doing.

After I set the computer to reflect use of two monitors the problem was solved. ie I got picture and sound.
