Hello, lately my pc is making this vibrating/humming noise. I am completely confused on the reason. I was doing some searching and someone said that my pc is at risk of even exploding. so I took out my gpu and the noise stopped. now i am wondering if the issue is with my gpu or my psu. My gpu is like 2 years old, but my psu is only 5/6 months old. I am a noob at this stuff, so i would appreciate if someone could help me.

My psu: Evga 500w
My gpu: XFX R7870 HD

Well, if you didn't have it before then I suspect it is a failing PSU. Do you have a PSU that you could borrow and try out? You may be able to use a paper towel tube or something to put one end near your ear and move the other end around the computer to help pinpoint where the sound is coming from.

it is on low load now, and there is no noise except for my cooling fans.
The thing is that the gpu need two 8pins slot of power to even run, so I am confused if it is the psu, as a lot of power was used.

That is a dying GPU.
