Hi guys,

I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem I've been struggling with all day.

While playing a earlier on today game (FM16) my PC randomly crashed. After restarting the PC the screen would go to black after the windows loading screen but before there was a chance to log in.

After refreshing my pc this problem still exists. The screen went to black immediately after the new graphics drivers were installed. Since then, I've found whenever the graphics driver is enabled the pc will immediately go to black. The only solution that allows me to restart the pc and log in without safe mode is to disable the drivers.

When I look at what driver is being used I only see Microsoft Basic Display and no sign of onboard graphics:

I'm kind of at my wits end with this one so would appreciate any insight anyone can bring :)

It sounds like the GPU might have kicked the bucket, though to be sure do you have another gpu lying around? Or perhaps a friend you can borrow one from? Or another PC to test the 670 in.

Yeah have tried older driver, doesn't seem to make a difference.

I did use display driver Uninstaller. Had hopes as after the reboot the pc was in the monitor's native resolution. However, it would still go to black after installing the drivers, either with Microsoft basic display adapter enabled or disabled
