Ok so here is quite the story I've had

On Feb 2nd I bought a mobo and cpu (I5 3570, Asus p8z77 v lx) combo, being the dingus I am ,i did not take the proper safety percasions, and when installing my cpu I felt a small zap

Needless to say, after plugging in everything I got no post on my motherboard.

However, after getting a new motherboard(gigabyte b75m-d3h), my pc got into the bios, and even into windows (since this was just an upgrade) however, after about one minute of using my computer it would freeze.
After posting on r/techsupport they told me that I must of installed my thermal paste to slowly and that it had dried.
So after spending 15$ at a computer store, nothing changed. The computer still froze after light use of windows

Now my friend told me that since it was the same install of windows, that I should wipe my drives and re-install

After doing that, I did the whole windows setup, and it has been stuck on this screen for a while http://imgur.com/FhoHQUz

Just please help me out. My seller gives me a 30 day warranty on it, which covers general hardware failure (what?) I will cooperate and I just really want to use my computer. I have general hardware knowledge so please dont treat me like a child, this is my 3rd pc build

That's hilarious that they said you put your paste on too slowly.. Anyway you bought them both from the same seller? sounds like you can take it back to him. Please give us a full list of what you did step by step SPECIFICALLY. That would help alot!

Cheers,
Signal

Do you mean just like all things step bye step. And no, it was because I had to switch motherboards and my thermal paste had dried since tyen. Also only my cpu seller has a 30 day warranty

Was the Gigabyte board an old board? Or did you buy that to replace the one you are assuming you fried? If you have an old CPU that is the same socket try that. Try to touch the computer case in the future to ground yourself.

I have fixed a bunch of electrical gremlins by shutting down the computer, (turning PSU off where applicable.) unplugging cord from wall or PSU and then holding the power button down for 5-10 seconds. Plugging everything back in and starting it up. That has caused my keyboard mouse to go INOP. Worth trying.

To add to this anti-static wrist straps are only about $8 on amazon and if your still building outside the case you can always ground out on a power supply.
