PC is not booting up

I have put together my first pc 2 days ago. I turned it on and customized the boot menu to my liking and let it boot up but it said my system was not supported. Can anyone tell me what's going on or how to fix this.

Motherboard- Asrock Fatal1ty z97 killer series
GPU- EVGA Geforce GTX 750ti
CPU- Intel i5-4690k
RAM- 1 8GB HYPERX
Power Supply- Corsair CX500M
Hard Drive- 1 terabyte 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s 32 MB Seagate Barracuda

I don't believe I have successfully installed windows but on the box of the motherboard it says its windows 8.1 ready

I will turn on my pc and the first thing that pops up on my screen is the Fatal1ty logo with asrock on the top left corner and Press f2 or Del to run UEFI Setup, Press f6 for Instant Flash, Press f11 for boot menu, Press tab to switch screen on the bottom left corner. Then after about 3 seconds white text starts to show up on the screen saying

If having a Windows DVD, then insert it, boot from it and start installing Windows.
Right now, FreeDOS is installed on the drive.

I tried booting from the dvd that came with the motherboard but now it says this

You need a Windows DVD.
I suggest contacting a local PC Shop. They might help.
