I rebuilt the pc 2 days ago after replacing the motherboard. It ran completely fine for a long time yesterday with high load. I also played red dead for hours today at very high settings for several hours. I got off the game to watch Netflix for a bit. When I got back on the game it shut down after like 10 minutes. I turned it back on to download stress test after they finished downloading it shut off again. Nothing was open.
It’s fine if you can’t diagnose it as I’m really just looking for troubleshooting steps.

And most importantly: can turning it back on for diagnosing damage my computer?

Solution
Tried the simple clear cmos? as suggested above.

Those cables worked before i asume ... if not try a better quality.

Ram is in slots 2+4 from the cpu out? Can try one stick in slot 2 first.

Might just be a faulty motherboard, need to consider that. Just bad luck and need maybe an rma. If bought by a shop where you live should they be able to test it.

Did you recheck everything after rebuilding? Maybe even rebuild it again, make sure all is connected well.
