Hi how are you all?

my dilemma i have a good built pc and it stutters and has little lag when i play far cry 2 and crysis. i dont understand as on youtube people have not as good systems as me (not being rude) and they seem to be able to max crysis with no probz?
my system is:
q9550 stock 2.8ghz
4gb ddr3 1333mhz
75gb raptor
vista 64bt
antec nine hundred
ati 4870x2

i want to oc my cpu but i need a good fan any suggestions under £30?

i have been told these few reasons from other sources:
ati is not made for crysis you have to have a nvidia?
the cpu is bottlenecking?

any suggestions? thank you :wahoo:

Download driver sweeper... Get rid of anything that says ATI/CCC, then upon boot download the latest drivers for the 4870x2 and test again....

thanks i play at 1650x1080 and when i play with both AA on and off it is still lagging? i dont know what that even does? will my cpu be stable at about 3.4ghz and cud this top lagging?
thanks

No, Windows Vista runs Crysis just fine. No need to update the OS. What you need to do is make sure your hard-drive does not have any left over old driver files. Normally when you have old driver files that need to be deleted you will get erratic behavior from the GPU.

Yes, use driver sweeper and remove EVERYTHING that has to do with ATI or CCC, meaning you have to remove your current driver as well. Then you reboot and install the latest driver. You can do this in safe mode if you do not feel comfortable booting to windows w/o a display driver. Either way should work fine....
