Hello everyone can anyone help me i have really wierd problem
So i have Asus p8z68-v pro/gen3 board
i7 2600k 4.4ghz
coolermaster tx3 evo cpu cooler
16gb ram 1600mhz
rx 470 8gb
120gb ssd
1tb hdd
I had gtx 1060 3gb couple days ago and i had this issue with my pc it shuts off when i do difficult tasks like playing games benchmarks etc.. (in there was 560w silverstone 80+ power supply)
so i bought a 500w 80+ bronze liteon powersupply because of the pc turnoff it wasnt crashing for a day then i sold gtx 1060 and bought rx 470 8gb msi and it was doing fine for 1 day then it started shutting down
last night when i tryed to turn it on it didnt want to until i had shaken the 24pin or press hard on the motherboard around the 24pin (i checked the coonection on motherboard and supply seems good)
now i removed my gpu to see if it is the problem it had the same issue shaking powersupply cables shutdown or not power on until shaken again.
now wihtout gpu i pluged my old 560w 80+ silverstone unit and tryed shaking the 24pin and motherboard everything is doing fine (gpu is not in the system because silverstone 560w psu dont have 8pin for gpu only 2x 6pi)
am really confused is it the psu or the board i stress tested the gpu and motherboard cpu goes to 75c and gpu goes to 78c that obiuously isnt the problem i dont have any more ideas really any help is welcome
(note that there is some wierd noise comming from both powersupplyes like buzzing noise when on idle when i open any program even google it quiets until program is opened or when stress tested i dont hear it when on idle i hear it

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Silverstone is the brand of the PSU, while 560W is the advertised wattage of the unit as is the 80+ being the advertised 80+ efficiency rating for the unit. What is the model for the unit and how old is the PSU in question?

As for the Lite-on unit, got a link to that? Was it bought used?

Might want to source(borrow, not by) a reliably built 650W unit from a friend or neighbor and see if the issue persists.
