So As many of you know BF1's beta came out a couple days ago, I played it on my machine with an FX-8350, 16gb of RAM and a Zotac AMP! GTX 1080, The machine works great, no hiccups besides the massive bottleneck from the fx-8350.

I upgraded the CPU to an intel core i7 4790K and a gigabyte z97 gaming 7, boot up the pc, activate windows and run some stability tests via prime 95 and Rise of the tomb raider (DX12, EVERYTHING maxed) and saw no performance dipping at all. no throttling etc...

Every game works great on this machine, no issues at all. But then I load up the beta, search for a game, the map loads and as soon as its about to use the gpu, it turns off, no blue screen, no error messages, it just goes black. and automatically restarts.

The pc turns on like nothing happened and runs pretty good after. But if I go to load the BF1 beta it just does it again. so thinking my psu may be the issue, I play some pretty demanding games like the witcher, and Rise of the tomb raider, Bf4. surely I could recreate the issue in another game, well I cant. so i dont think it is the psu anymore.

Thermals are a little higher than id care for with a i7 4790k, maxing out under extreme load @ 77C via msi afterburner (I am probably going to re seat the cooler but i dont think the heat is the issue). but like i said I cant recreate the issue on any other games. and I have been trying. Any ideas as to why this is happening? could it be the mobo/chipset getting too hot? or maybe an amd driver that i missed. I'm just sort of confused by this one.

Specs for people who want to know:
Intel Core i7 4790k (says 4.00ghz but for some reason is running @ 4.3ghz)
Gigabyte z97 G1 gaming 7
16bg Kingston HyperX Fury ddr3
Zotac AMP! GTX 1080
EVGA 600w Silver 80+ (ive had people unable to find this psu in the past so here's a link)(http://www.bestbuy.com/site/evga-80-plus-600w-atx-12v-eps-12v-power-supply-black/8511029.p?id=1219693073473&skuId=8511029)

Solution
Probably it is a bug related to the beta nature of this game since it only happens during BF1. Did this behaviour also occurred before your system upgrade? After reading again your post I have a feeling that you didn't reinstall windows. Did you reinstall windows or you did just reactivate your previous installation? Usually after such a big system upgrade you should reinstall windows because you switched to a totally different platform with different drivers. If you didn't reinstall windows conflicts with the drivers of your old hardware may occur even if you removed them completely from your system. Traces of your old hardware surely will remain hidden somewhere in your OS and strange behaviour like this one could happen even if you...
Since it happens only in one game and since this game is in beta mode it is logical to assume that it's this beta game responsible for this behaviour and your system doesn't have a hardware problem. Just make sure that you have the latest GPU drivers installed. Also consider updating all the drivers in your system.

Your clocks are fine. Your CPU can reach up to 4.4 GHZ. The CPU temp is high but this specific CPU is known to get hot. Just make sure it doesn't go above 80C. What CPU cooler are you using? If you still have the stock cooler, you should consider getting a better aftermarket one.

You can blame the beta nature for now but keep in mind that you may have to reinstall windows at later date if you haven't done that already. As for the temps, I don't know where you live in but summer and higher ambient temperatures can contribute to higher CPU temps than normal, so you have to increase your CPU Fan's RPM during those times. Your PSU is probably fine because your old system was more power hungry than your new one. Good luck.

Solution
Im assuming that since i switched brands from amd to intel there is a registry problem there because battlefield is notoriously better optimised for amd, and I am planning to reinstall windows anyway, its not on my ssd and i want that sweet sweet performance boost

Tried the beta with DX12 off?

This btw is "just" an 80+ psu not silver rated, the colors on the box have little to do with it in this case..
