So I went to turn on my PC custom build myself and this is the first time it hasn't turned on since I built it over a year and a half ago does this likely mean my PSU is dead?

Ok then, I don't know if a higher wattage will help with it as I'm no expert but it may. Try getting a better quality one as well - not saying your's wasn't good quality but it's a good idea to get a better quality one in case. Also see if there's a warranty in case you have problems in the future with it.

I don't know if it will just plug in and work, mine did when I repaired my old PC it's running 24/7 and restarts two times a day.
When you say it won't turn on, do you mean it won't load the OS? Or is it not getting past the Boot Screen, commonly got a brand on it when it's branded. Or is it just not doing ANYTHING at all?
Also, what are your specs?

No light on my PSU just on my case, don't recall if I got a warranty. I think I'll just order a new PSU. Should I get a higher wattage this time? Also is there anything I need to know about installing a new one or do I just plug everything in and I'm good to go.
