Hi everyone, I'm in a bit of a dilemma. My computer is frequently blue screening/freezing while playing games, and once just while watching a stream on the internet. I have done every possible thing I can imagine, I've checked for registry errors, ran a full antivirus software scan, blew all the dust out of my pc, I even did a clean reinstall of Windows 7! I just recently ran memtest86 because I thought that had to be the problem, but there was no errors found. Then my mind went to drivers, but I just reinstalled windows 7 and had to install all new drivers, so they are all updated. Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

I'll try and get the BSOD code next time it happens. But often, the blue screen itself will happen once, then it just crashes/freezes up from there on out. No it's not overclocked at all. Could it be a problem with my mobo?

I'm not very good with computers so I haven't been monitoring the heat. I can't imagine that my computer is overheating though...because I have three fans. Maybe is could be the problem though. A friend suggested it could be hard drive failure?

Hard drive failure seems like a possibility, however less likely. You should make sure everything is backed up right away. (should have done that when you saw the first blue screen)

I'd find a way to check temperatures. Its possible a heat sink of fan on the PSU or GPU isnt working right.

Happened once or twice again, the second time was an actual blue screen. The code was 0x101 if it matters. My friend is fairly confident that it's hard drive failure because it's blue screening and not just freezing or crashing up everytime. I'll try and test the temperatures in a little bit when it occurs. Thanks for your help
