Hi!
This is an issue I have been having for a few months now. Certain games like The Witcher 3 I can run on high settings; however, once this issue started I have had to reduce it to Low. I originally thought it was due to the heat (summer had just started) and the problem mainly occurred at night when my PC had been on for many hours.
However, it has been occurring more and more often, even on games such as Overwatch which I have played on High settings for over a year had only just crashed my PC this week. Even stranger is that my PC had only been on for a few hours opposed to many, and even if I had been previously been playing Overwatch all day, it would not ever crash my PC - only that one time. Furthermore, this was in the morning, it was not particularly hot out and my window was open.
Something else I would like to add is that today I was playing Overwatch on Low settings and decided to save a highlight, I maxed out all the settings (4k, 60fps, Ultra etc) and my PC crashed once again.
Basically, what happens it that out of no where my PC will straight up just make the "turn off" sound, screen would go black, then my PC would automatically restart. To my knowledge the issue doesn't occur if my games are on Low settings, but I know they I can run most at High.
Does this sound like a typical heat issue? Or is it more PSU based? If so, should I replace it and with what?
PS - this is my current PSU: 650W Corsair VS
Thanks a lot
