Pc keeps freezing

Pc keeps freezing after a while using windows 8.1 should i try to install another version of windiws

well what are your system specs and can you open task manger to see if any process are at 100%. did you install anything and when did you do a fresh install. a fresh install is a better choice but do remember that you will have to backup your most important data to an external hdd or usb. files , documents , music , videos , games , etc also that you would need to install most of your stuff again ex programs updates etc.
