Hello Ive been at this all weekend with no luck so hoping I can get some advice here. My pc keeps freezing, sometimes within a minute of bootup, other times it lasts more than that. Ive noticed it lasts an average of one hour when I completed a clean bootup as outlined here
(https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...o-determine-whether-background-programs-are-i) but the freezing only seemed to stop when every service was stopped, meaning when I had no sound or internet available. Even enabling only Microsoft services continues the problem. Another thing I noticed is that starting my computer in safe mode doesnt cause this freezing. At least it didnt in the 4 hours i was running it. I dont recall downloading anything the day it stopped working, certainly didnt change any drivers beforehand.

Specs are

windows 7

CPU: AMD Phenom ll x4 910 e 2.6 ghz
Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 AMD 760G chipset, micro atx AM3+ slot

GPU: gtx 750

RAM: 8GB Speed: PC3-10600 MB/sec (message as PC3-8500)

HDD: Seagate 1TB SATA

PSU: 750 watt evga

Windows 10?

Look in Event Viewer and Reliability History/Manager.

There may be some error codes or warnings that correspond to the freeze ups.

If there are none then look for some informational event.

And remember that Windows 10 includes built in troubleshooters. They may find and fix something.

If not, try "sfc /scanow" via the command prompt.
