Question PC keeps re-starting after upgrading RAM from 1333MHz to 1600Mhz?

Hi my friend gave me a corsair vengeance (cmz8gx3m2a1600c9b) 8gb (2x4gb), i want to is ask if i can use this ram to my intel mboard dh61ww so i can upgrade it to 8gb? i tried it but my computer keeps on restarting. i tried to bring back my old ram but its still the same. Thanks in advance hope someone can help me.

If your old ram won't work anymore, you potentially broke something. Did you completely remove power from the motherboard before swapping modules?
