PC keeps rebooting in about 15 minutes, even from bios

PC keeps rebooting, OS doesn't matter it reboots from bios or even when i am testing ram with memtest86. What i observed is that it reboots in between 12 to 17 minutes. I have single ram stick 8gb ddr3, tried with other slots on motherboard still it reboots. I did remove CMOS and reset the bios still the problem persists. RAM or smps what could be the problem? How can i fix it? Do i need to replace ram or smps?

Make sure that your single RAM stick is in the right DIMM slot per your manual. Since you've pulled the CMOS battery and put your BIOS back to normal, one thing could be that your PSU is potentially dying. How old is it? What brand/model? It could also be that your CPU is overheating and the reboot is protecting it. When is the last time you changed or added new thermal paste? What kind of cooling are you using on your CPU?

Make sure that your single RAM stick is in the right DIMM slot per your manual. Every component was bought in 2013 so 5 years.

PSU => Seasonic S12II620 bronze
Ram => G. Skill Ripjaw X
Processor => i7 3770k
Motherboard => Asrock z77 extreme 4
Cooling => Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO with extra fan

New thermal paste was added in last year i.e 2017.
But i have check temperatures of processor recently, at full load i.e 100% utilization it does not go above 75 to 76 Celsius. I do lots of encoding so i check temp time to time.

I see. Based on what you've listed, I would be led to believe you should be fine thermally. If you have access to different RAM for the sake of testing it out, it won't hurt to rule that out. Same goes for the PSU. The last consideration is the mobo itself and perhaps something there is failing. If it's not too much trouble to remove your mobo and examine all the caps and such carefully, do it. You can give your case a deep clean as well while it's out.

Are you using a SSD or HDD for your drive?

Are you using a SSD or HDD for your drive?

I only have a single internal HDD and three external. My friend has a PSU i could try that but for ram only DDR4 is available and mine is DDR3. I will check mobo and clean the case.

Problem solved my bios was corrupted and CMOS cell needed to be replaced. Thanks for the help SkyBill40
