Pc keeps rebooting when i installed my new mother board

I just installed the GA-Z77P-D3 motherboard to my pc with a i5 3570k cpu and the pc lights keep powering on and shutting off and the monitor won’t turn on.

What version of BIOS do you have installed? Are you getting beeps from the motherboard speaker? In my experience, when the computer cycles through a start--several seconds of hope--shut off--several seconds of depression--restart, the problem is an unsupported (either by socket or BIOS) or improperly installed CPU.

F7 is the first BIOS version.

I would remove the CPU and make sure that you have no broken or bent pins, and that you didn't get thermal paste on any of the connections.

Unplug the hard drive/drives, remove and reinstall the memory, remove the video card if your using one, reset CMOS, plug the monitor into the motherboard and try to boot into BIOS.

I've tried all of this and it still doesn't work should I just send the motherboard back for repair?
