Question Pc keeps resetting/black screening. Haven’t booted up system in 6+ months and switched the cpu and got a used gpu.

I just booted up my pc I haven’t booted in 6+ Months I put a new 3600 and a used 5500xt 4gb everytime I open a game the screen will start glitching and either black screen and restart the whole of or just crash out of the game the error I’m getting in my game is FATAL GPU ERROR yadayadayadq I need help

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition?

Things you can do:

1) Power down, unplug, open the case.

Clean out dust and debris.

Verify by sight and feel that all cards, connectors, RAM, and jumpers are fully and firmly in place.

2) Replace the CMOS battery.

3) Try booting into Safe Mode.

4) Update GPU drivers.
