Hello everybody !

Its the first time in all my life i'm asking help on a forum.. Im 37y old been mounting my own PCs for all my life but im just getting kind of crazy with my last build. Let start by what I have :

MB: Asrock fx990 fatality killer (Bios 1.3)
CPU: FX9370 (With water cooling)
RAM: 2x8GB @ 2333 MHZ (Kingston)
Graphic Card: MSI GTX660 Gaming
Disks : 1 SSD 128GB + 1 Hybrid 2 TB
Running OS : Windows 10 Pro 64bit

Ok so, first of all when I bought the CPU and MB there was no specific information about my CPU being supported or not. So the guys at the shop told me to try it and I tried and it worked for more than 1 year and 8 months wit no issues at all and temps were really good like almost always between 30 to 45ºC (CPU & MB) - At the time I was running Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit and the MB bios 1.0

So After all that time, in July I decided to do the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro and (unfortunatly) at the same time I upgraded the MB bios to the latest one, that was at the time the version 1.4 (which is not on the Asrock site anymore, instead they have I the same one but its now 1.5)- Anyway, after that my PC wouldn't go to windows anymore. I turned it on and imediately got a msg saying CPU not supported (couldn't do anything).

So I decided to go to the shop and see what they could do. So my pc stayed at the shop for a full month, and they send me back the PC with the MB bios version 1.3 which still work with my cpu - But Since then I'm having lots of problems, the PC restarts, Im having graphical corruptions, I had one time a BSOD (Just to remember my PC was running greatly well with windows 8.1 and MB version 1.0 with no issues at all) and sometimes it just crash.

So, I went back to the shop again and explained the situation - After 2 weeks they told me they made lots of test but didn't find any problem - The guy just told me that he notice that the CPU water cooling doesn't seemed to be well attached and it could be that. BUt I dont think its that, because I still having lots of problems I dont have before.
Almost all games crashes at some point and the PC restarts randomly when he wants (I deactivated "automaticly restarts already but he restarts anyway).

So now, I have lots of doubts, I don't think the issue is related to windows 10 but could it be ? I suspect maybe its a MB issue, or maybe they didn't mount the PC correctely (Anyway I checked cables, and so on and all seems mounted correctely) - Im just getting crazy with this build because almost always I can find out the cause of the issue but not with this one..
Any suggestion ?

Thanks in advance for looking on my issue...

My best regards for you all ! :)

Hi,

thank you for your answer, Im not sure I can do that the guys at the shop told me this MB doesn't support downgrades.. but going to search info about it.

Again thank you for your reply.. :)

I confirm we can downgrade the BIOS.... I just did it yesterday.. I put the 1.1 because it was the last one I had before the problems started... I made some stress stest yesterday with "stress my pc" and it seemed ok.. but I still need to test it further as this issue was not happening everyday.. will try the games also where it crashed sometimes and i left the pc turned on for all night and all day.. will see tonight if i have or not a blue screen.. again thank you for the suggestion... was a good idea anyway.. I will keep the tread update with the final results / solution... Cheers
