Hi, I had some questions regarding this problem I have been having.
Like the title says, my PC keeps shutting down when playing games, has become a lot worse in the last few days. It started doing it at the beginning of this year, end of last year, but wasn't consistent enough (could go on days without problem)
My PC specs:
CPU: Intel i7-4790 4GHz
GPU: GTX 980 (Gigabyte windforce)
PSU: Corsair VS650 (650w)
MB: Gigabyte GZ-Z97X-Gaming 5
CPU cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H100i
16 gb of memory ddr3
(System was build in 2015)
After looking at similar people having the same problem, it seems that it is most likely the PSU that is being faulty.
My main question is, is there a way to find out if it is acctually the PSU without buying a new one, like some sort of diagnostics tool i could use? (keeping in mind I dont easily have access to a different PSU for testing)
What are the chances that it isnt the PSU?
