I usually leave my computer on; I rarely shut it down. Every now and then, such as last night, one of the units shuts down and I get a message "windows shut down unexpectedly". I don't play games, I am usually on both computers between 5-6 hours every evening (I own my own business). I have a tower and a laptop. Both systems are ACPI x64-based PCs. The Tower has an AMD Athlon (tm) 7850 dual-core processor 2.8 GHz and a Samsung SSD 850 EVA SCSI Disk Device; the laptop has a Intel Core i5-2430m CPU 2.4 GHz and a Hitachi HTS547564A9E384 disk drive. The tower hard drive is 465 GB and 99 GB is used; the laptop has a 250 GB hard drive with 116 GB used. Neither computer shows it as running hot as some of the responses state, there's no game playing on it, high internet usage, and it doesn't shut down when I'm using it, just when it is idle and it is very random. And rarely do both shut down on the same night. Thoughts?
