Hi all. As the title says, my Pc keeps waking up. I have turned off waking from mouse and network, what else could be causing it?

I am a bit lazy to post the spec but I dont think its my hardware, since a) I build it myself 2 years ago and I know what I put in there b) I have not changed anything and it did not have this problem before a few weeks or so.

My mouse is a bit busted up (I have ordered a new one) and keeps doubleklicking every now and then so maybe it is klicking on its own sometimes too, but I have deactivated the mouse form waking the pc.. so I don't get it. Also as I have already said, the network should not be waking it since I turned it off as well.

I have no strange USB connections either, only an external hdd and mouse etc.

Further I have several times checked my PC for viruses with avast and malewarebytes.

Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers.

the problem is that this does not happen regularly. Sometimes it takes hours till the pc wakes up. Since its my only real pc I am not too keen on not using it for hours, so befoer I do that, let me ask this,

can a pc still wake up from the mouse in any way, if its set under hardware to not wake up from mouse?

I tried the event viewer / powercfg -lastwake and the thing is that it does not really give a coherent answer.

The closes to one was
The system has resumed from sleep.

Sleep Time: ‎2015‎-‎09‎-‎20T12:00:50.857799300Z
Wake Time: ‎2015‎-‎09‎-‎20T12:08:35.732013200Z

Wake Source: Timer - svchost.exe

and under details:

WakeTimerOwner: \Device\HarddiskVolume5\Windows\System32\svchost.exe
WakeTimerContext: uauserv
Problem is that the svchost.exe is not the program name ofc, so i dont know which file it is that is causeing it.

Edit: currently running svc.ese /scannow, mb something is corrupted. Will post if it is.

EDIT2: No errors detected.

No I am pretty sure it was not windows update, it should not wake the pc up. But your suggestion seems to be very close to the truth.

I checked the services under msconfig and deactivated java updates. Seems to have fiexed it now, though can not say for sure.

Cheers.
