Question Pc lagging for no reason every so often

The pc is fine some days, can run high end games on ultra with high fps and other times it lags even just talking on discord (very bad) with nothing showing up in task manager (under 20% load) could it be ram going bad or something? because its not malware. Ive never seen this problem before
