Hi

I have been getting audio and screen tearing issues while streaming video online. I have no idea what the issue is. The videos I try to watch sound like a video that has been slowed down a lot to make that weird robotic noise. I have also started to notice the problem in games, the most noticeable being in Arma 2 where every 20-30 minutes the game lags about and freezes for no reason. I also get the lagging issue a bit on my desktop as my mouse lags about the screen.

Do I need to change a part like a CPU or Motherboard?

Remove any Antivirus you have (Microsoft Security Essentials doesn't work, and many whom have Norton keep finding it is interfering with program fully working by blocking different parts) and install either Avira, Comodo or AVG from www.filehippo.com (both FREE and top rated successful protection by two independent labs). Again do a full scan till clean.

Run Windows Update and make sure ALL patches and OPTIONALs (except BING) are installed.

Download and run SlimDrivers to ensure all drivers are up to date.

Tell us the results of all this, 90% of the time these resolve the issues for people posting here.
