Hello,

I am having an issue when downloading large files at high speeds.
I mostly download from steam / ubisoft connect (uplay), but as soon as I start downloading (building up to 65mb/s) my pc starts lagging and the audio glitches like crazy.
I tried some things online like (bcdedit /set useplatformclock false ) in CMD Admin, but no results.
I tried resetting my pc hoping it will fix with a fresh version, but no results.
I'm dealing with this since 2 months ago, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Here are my specs:
CPU : I9-9900K
Motherboard : MSI MEG Z390 ACE
RAM : 2x8GB 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance Pro
Storage : Samsung M.2 970 EVO 1TB (OS and Games are installed on here, no different partitions)
PSU : Corsair RM750X
GPU : MSI RTX 2080 Gaming Super
OS : Windows 10 Pro

I haven't done anything in terms of overclocking. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks!
Gerald

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard? What OS version are you on? At the time of writing, we're on version 20H2. Are the rams set to X.M.P? If so that's overclocked settings. Aftermarket cooler for your processor?

The aftermarket cooler is a Corsair H150I Pro
My OS version is on 20H2, and my BIOS version is 1.A0 (Bios Release 10-13-2020
The RAM is on XMP, (I forgot that was overclocking setting as well) but I never had a problem with it so far...

(I updated everything this morning)
