I just built a new PC today and it just won't power on at all. All the LEDs on the motherboard light up, but when I press the power button absolutely nothing happens. I tried the power button on my case and on the motherboard itself. I double checked connections and they seem to be in place.

Build:
Motherboard: Asus Maximus IX Hero
Processor: Intel i7 7700k
Graphics Card: GTX 1070
Power Supply: Corsair CX850M
RAM: G. Skill Ripjaws V 32GB

I had the power supply and graphics card in a different PC earlier today and they work perfectly. I'm a bit worried it's my new motherboard.

Any help would be much appreciated.

UPDATE! SOLVED!

I figured it out. T'was my flippin power supply the whole time. I don't know why it wasn't compatible with this build because I've been using it for the last year in my last PC. I switched it out with an EVGA 850BQ and now it's working flawlessly. Thank you all for the assistance!

Solution
Drop down to one stick of RAM in required first slot (see manual), and, remove GPU altogether, and connect to your onboard video output...

Disconnect all drives, unnecessary fans, etc...

Ensure AUX CPU pwr from PSU to MB is connected...

remove power completely, and reset CMOS switch (or apply jumper for 10 sec) for a few seconds.

Try again!
Does your motherboard have any debugging features? For example, are there any lights indicating that a certain component isn't functioning properly, or displaying a number that references an error?

I just went through the feature list and as far as I can tell it just has cosmetic RGB lights. There is a display on the top right for a 2 digit number, but it looks like it only turns on when the motherboard does, and right now it I can't get it to power up.

Ok, did all that stuff and the motherboard now turns on, but I get no video signal from the display port or HDMI. the top right of the motherboard is displaying 53 and there is a amber light on right under the number.

UPDATE!

So I just removed most of the components. The only things connected are the motherboard and both sticks of RAM. I am now getting a signal and can access the BIOS. The Q-code (display on the top right) on the mother now says A9 with a green light. Should I go ahead and install all my other parts or do I need to do anything before moving on?
