pc locked up with buzzing audio at windows start again, video card drivers responsible?

Turned on pc goes to load up all things, mouse cursers circle loading thing froze and got a buzzing noise out the audio, i uninstalled the nvidia sound to make my graphics card my main if that counts?

Need more info on your setup. What graphics card and sound cards are you using?
It sounds like a driver problem at start-up, but could be sound driver, graphics driver or (possibly) the chipset driver.
Have you updated drivers recently?

If you can start in Safe Mode and all works okay, then it is almost definitely a driver issue.

msi gtx 760 2gb (latest available from nvidias site)

asus Phoebus 7.1 soundcard (driver's straight off disk, might need to update)

mobo: MSIz87-gd65 (drivers off disk)

I've checked the Asus website and it doesn't look as though there are any significant driver updates. Always worth trying though.

its ok, it works 95% of the time in normal opening
