My pc is repeatedly crashing, I suspect the gpu is at fault but since there is no blue screen or error message I'm slightly at a loss on how to troubleshoot it. The computer runs smooth for 5-20 minutes, then locks up and I'm forced to reset. I have reseated the gpu in the slot and mare sure power connections were solid. I've even managed to update the gpu drivers to newest release. I disabled all unnecessary startup programs. For some reason it runs alright when I turn my main monitor off (plugged in via display port) and use only my secondary monitor (plugged in via DVI) as long as I don't do anything, if I load chrome per say it will immediately lock up. I'm at a loss and any help is greatly appreciated.

do you monitor temps?

also full system specs would be nice (including make and model of power supply)

First check your task manager. Is there any program that is taking up a lot of cpu space, go to task manager and click on processes. Then click on the top section "CPU" and it will take the process taking the most processing. Message me back on what you see and if that's not the case I will move onto a next step.
