I can run almost any games at max graphics, and the games that I'm having problems with I have never had problems with it before with the same PC. Only thing different is that I'm used a smaller hard drive, and a lower psu.

The only two games that causes my PC to lose complete power when I open are League of Legends, and The Forest.

I don't understand why, I can run CSGO, Smite, Any cod's etc. at max graphics and never have this issue, but then these games that aren't really that demanding cause my pc to lose power?

I've tried underclocking my PC, tried putting in another fan, I think I maybe need new thermal paste or something?

Today I've been able to get into like 2 league games, but I lose power to my PC, have to wait for stuff to boot, and then reopen it, then try again later just to do the same thing. Only these 2 games, any idea what to do?

EDIT: Removed old thermal paste residue and applied new, and it works!

What kind of video card and CPU specifically? There's a good chance the voltage protection on your PSU is cutting your PC off, especially if you've got an AMD video card and you're overclocking

500 gig hdd
16 gig ram
430w psu
Gigabyte motherboard
Amd processor

I don't really know specifics not at home right now and not really much of a hardware guy.

Accidentally clicked solved. I read somewhere that a if the system is overheating the surge protector will turn the power off? I don't have any thermal paste on its all dry crust, perhaps it's just overheating. I'm gonna go get some new paste, the games have always worked, but within the past 2 weeks they haven't

It's a msi graphics card, AMD processor, not at home still so can't checj
