Hello everyone,

1 year ago i built my own pc, and i has been running smoothly every since till today.
Because my initial built only had a 250 GB SSD, i wanted to upgrade with 1x HDD of 1TB.
So today i install the HDD when everything is turned off. Connect SATA, Connect PSU.
Then i try to boot my pc again, and suddenly this very loud noise start to appear at start up.
first its mediocre, but as the pc boots up, it gets louder and louder till it reaches like a constant volume. then when it has booted, it often lowers a bit again.
I didn't think this was a good sign. so i put off the power, and removed the HDD again.
Now my built was like it was before..i try to boot my pc. Nothing happens. Everything is plugged in, the on switch is on, psu plugged in net etc.

Does anyone know what is causing the problem and how to fix it?

Yep. Just the way it goes some times. I agree that it's unacceptable for what's seen as a quality manufacturer in Seasonic. I've got an old Raidmax 630w powering my mom's computer (my old one) that's been running flawlessly for 7+ years. You just never know.

If it's still under warranty, contact Seasonic.
