My friend's PC is making a strange chirping noise which seems to be coming from the back of the PC. It doesn't happen when the PC is first turned on, but when he starts playing a game then it starts. It also seems to stop around 10 minutes after closing a game, but can still come back randomly.

We think it must be something to do with how much load the PC is under, but are not sure which component is making the noise. Some sources have suggested the PSU could be on its way out.

Any ideas?

Here's an audio clip of it: https://soundcloud.com/user-267950925/chirping-noise

Solution
look like a the back fan make noise when he turn faster because of the heat increase while playing games or its the fans of the gpu card ...because the speed of the fans are controlled by the motherboard and the gpu card itself ...but not all setup work like that..

i do not know your specs so...??

it can be your psu fan as well
