Hey everyone.
So my PC started making this sound right after I press the power button and currently I don't know where the sound is coming from (I don't know how to take it apart). My PC is booting up just fine though, I've played games to test and temps are fine. No burnt smell of any kind. I've had this PC for 4 years and the only thing that I've changed in its setup is the PSU. I've been using a 850w PSU for 3 months now, haven't had any issues of any kind. I'm having a hard time describing the sound cause it's so unique, but it's happening in the moment all the hardware turns on. Is it the PSU maybe? Fans? I don't have any other PSUs to replace it with to test, and don't know how to change parts.
My concern though is: it never made this sound before. It started doing this after I had to do a force shutdown (by holding down the power button) because my PC was stuck in the restarting screen and after waiting for 5+ mins it didn't seem like it was actually gonna restart. So my question is, should I be concerned? Is this normal? I'd like to understand what this is so I can know what to do, cause right now I'm afraid of things frying randomly. I'm not very tech savvy.
Here's a video of the sound: https://streamable.com/cvim7r (0:02 second mark)
You can hear the sound imediatelly after I let go of the power button. The noise doesn't even last a second (it's not the high pitched powering sound, it's the noise before that). After that, as usual, the PC is silent and runs normally. The only thing that is different from normal is that sound when I turn the PC on, everything runs just fine. Never had a blue screen in 4 years, no freezes, random shutdowns, nothing.
My PC specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x
GPU: Geforce RTX 3070
32gb ram (8gb x4)
Motherboard: PRIME B450M-GAMING
PSU: MSI MAG A850GL, 850W, 80 Plus Gold
