Hello guys,

My computer has been making a connect/disconnect sound for the past couple of days.
It's adding a new Hard drive (H:) without there being a new HDD/SDD/USB inserted in the computer.
All 4 other HDD/SSD's work fine without any issues.
This "(H:) Drive" doesn't exist and doesn't need to be in my PC for any reason.

Tried several things, nothing worked yet.
Pulled out all USB's including Keyboard/Mouse etc. no difference.
Can anybody help me please?

Which hardware do you use?
especially the motherboard

check all connections inside your case as well (front panel)
unplug the front panel USB plug from your motherboard for testing

check all USB ports for dust or bent connection pins

how is your monitor connected to your graphics card or motherboard? displayport, thunderbolt, HDMI, DVI, ...

Do you have a card reader installed in your case?

Thanks for the fast response.

Well the PC is 2 years old now and i didn't move or change anything inside the case besides 1 4TB storage 6 months ago..
I'm not a real PC tech so i'm not sure about all your questions.
Hardware:
Processor: Intel Core i7-6700
Processor cooler: Arctic Freezer i32
Graphicscard: 1070GTX 8GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B150M
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury (16 GB, 2 slots),
SSD: Samsung 750 Evo 500 GB + 120GB Kingston
HDD 4TB Seagate (New since 6 months) + 1TB Western Digital
Case: Coolermaster Silencio 352
Power feed: 750W something

All USB Ports work correctly so pins should be fine, no dust inside them neither.
I will try to connect and disconnect all connections inside the case later today.
2 Monitors are connected with a DVI to Displayport cable into the GTX1070
And no i don't have a card reader installed.
