pc mic issue

i recently became interested in game streaming and i found that my mic didn't work. i was using apple earbuds. the mic did show up but the volume is so quiet that is is barely audible. boost and volume are all the way up but is doesn't make a difference. i would be extremely gratefull if anyone could help me figure this out.

If not you won't be able to use those with a computer that doesn't have trrs jack (99% of them)

Thanks! I thought is might be the earbuds. Would it work if I just bought a normal gaming headset

It all depends on if it uses the 4 band connector or two connectors (one for mic, one for headphone). If it has two connectors, you can use it as-is. If not, you still need the above adapter

It has nothing to do with your problem, so it'll probably work, though if you didn't spend $100+ it won't exactly work great. Cheap USB headsets have cheap DACs, so audio quality might be lacking.

I got a sentry arche headset. It was 70 dollars and had good reviews. I am just playing games with my friend and I don't need great quality. I really just want something that works. I really appreciate you helping me.
