I am looking for a new monitor which I will use primarily for gaming. Around 21-24 inches. I have narrowed it down to these two:

or

I dont know weather it is worth paying £60 more for an IPS monitor. Can anyone help? or let we know if there is any better monitors for the same price.
Thanks

it looks like that version of the ah-ips panel is still only 6bit similar to e-ips so isnt going to give you any color advantages over the other panel which looks like its most likely tn.

it will give you a wider viewing angle but will also have a slower response time. if higher response times are noticible to you you may want to go with the tn. if not then its your choice. on a large screen (23" +) its worthwhile not going with tn because on some models (depending on the screen coating and panel used) the edges might appear to be color shifting even when viewed directly on. e-ips or that ah-ips panel will not show this.

i would NOT get speakers in the monitor regardless. they are crap. buy a speaker-less monitor and just get some speakers to plug into your computer.
