Hey all, just curious if anyone has had this problem. I have consoles and a recently built PC. I have some repeat games, but I'm having a problem of playing them on my PC . I have battlefront, and elder scrolls online on both, I can play them on my tv, 50" and I sit about 7 feet away. when I play them on my pc I can't focus, eyes get a bit bleary etc. Makes it almost unplayable.

I have https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MYTH9U/?tag=pcpapi-20 for a monitor and

http://xfxforce.com/en-us/products/amd-radeon-rx-400-series/rx-470-rs-4gb-dd-black-rx-470p4ldb6 for graphics card.

I play with freesync on and it's 1080p at 60hz usually. I sit about 3 feet away I would guess. I can play other non first person games just fine on my pc. Like guild wars 2, grim dawn, age of wonders 3 for example. I do have a long HDMI wire I ordered coming to try my pc games out on my tv to see if it helps. I'm transitioning from console gaming to more PC gaming.

So I guess I'm wondering if anything else I could try to maybe fix this, or is it strictly distance issue with me personally? Since I have zero problems on tv. I have messed with setting trying to figure it out, but hasn't worked yet. If maybe anyone else has had this problem. thanks in advance.

Well if you get motion sickness that is most commonly attributed with field of view, this would also explain why you only get it in first person games, third person games or RTS games typically have a very wide field of view. On a large TV sitting 7 feet away field of view should not be much of an issue, but it is when you have tyour face pressed up against a monitor. I know battlefornt has a field of view setting, try Hor+ 90

I will try that when I get home from work. I didn't realize it was in there. Thank you. console games are easy, put game in, play. PC is much more difficult to find the right setting for yourself.

Lol messing with settings is half the fun. I switched to pc gaming from console about 5 years ago, before that I had been a console gamer my whole life. Once you get a grasp on what everything does I find it quite enjoyable tinkering with settings to get my game running and looking just right. Console gaming may be easier, but if you ask me it's too easy to the point were you have little to no control over how your games run and look.
