Hello,

I am facing issues with my PC which I guess is related to my new graphics card (MSI Gaming X GTX 1060). On FIRST START my PC boots up with all the components working (can tell by checking the fans) and my monitor shows "entering power save mode". I then try restarting (SECOND START), this time I can see the motherboard logo then the Windows logo and after the Windows logo the PC stucks at a grey screen. I then restart again (THIRD START) and this time my PC boots fine and runs properly without any issues.

I am not sure what is causing this issue, but I can only tell that it might be due to the new hardware which I added to my PC (GTX 1060). My PC specs are as follows:

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k
MB: Asrock Z68 extreme 3 gen3
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (4GBX2)
HDD: Seagate 1TB (7200.12)
GFX: MSI Gaming X GTX 1060 (not even a month old)
PSU: Corsair AX750
Monitor: Dell ST2220M (I am using a DVI cable)

Please help me fix this issue. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your reply. As you mention about the power supply or the motherboard, how will I make sure that these components are causing the issue? Any tests which I could run to confirm their fault?

Not really, not without additional parts.

For the PSU, you might be able to test it by simply removing the GPU and seeing it the system works fine, but even that could end up not identifying the issue.

Hi, I was running my PC without graphic card from last 6-8 months and my PC was running fine. I recently purchased MSI Gaming X GTX 1060 and after adding the graphic card my PC ran fine for a week without any issues. This issue encountered last night and again today morning.
